Our first born child and son was the first to bring the joy of parenthood into my life. Judy and I really didn't have a whole lot of information or experience in either pregnancy or child rearing, but somehow we came through it all. In those days Dad's weren't allowed in the delivery room, so I stood at the doors and could hear Dr. Witter talking about mowing his lawn, etc, etc. I finally heard a cry and the
nurse came out shortly and told me that I had a son. (Remember back in the old days we didn't have sonograms and stuff like that) It was always a fifty/fifty chance of either girl or boy. We had names for either just in case. Doug, his wife Laura and children - Whitney, Kasey, Kelsey and Tanner live in Cleburne. He has been my partner in AudioComp Electronics, Inc. for the last 20 years.
